COMMUNITY & EDUCATION

Washington Youth Tour

A Journey of a Lifetime. The Washington Youth Tour is an annual event that teaches students about U.S. history, government and careers in public service.

The primary purpose of the tour is to teach students the values every electric cooperative brings to the communities it serves and to promote civic involvement. The all-expenses-paid trip is referred to as "the journey of a lifetime.

Sponsored by local electric cooperatives nationwide, this trip is awarded to exceptional high school juniors and seniors. The Washington Youth Tour is a leadership opportunity and educational experience like no other.
