Mr. Myron (Mike) Sweat was elected to the Altamaha EMC Board of Directors in 1989 to succeed Mr. J.W. Lampp. For 33 years Mr. Sweat has represented the members of Laurens County and always had their best interest in mind.

Mr. Sweat is not planning to run for reelection this year. Any qualified member who resides in the Laurens County area of Altamaha EMC’s service territory can submit their resume for consideration for this board seat. Interested parties should contact Melissa Manning at 912-526-2131 no later than August 12, 2022.

Each year, Altamaha EMC selects three local students to represent our cooperative on the Washington Youth Tour.
